No one was present in opposition to the proposed development. The Public Hearing ..oncluded at 7:40 p.m., and the regular Council meeting then commenced. CONFIRMATION GF MINUTES: Moved by Alderman Thompson: Seconded by Alderman Mabbett: That the minutes of the regular meeting of this Council held on May 16th, 1977, be taken as read and adopted. Carried. Prior to passage of the foregoing resolution, Alderman Ranger referred to the fact that on Page 9 of the May 16th, 1977 minutes, his negative vote with respect to the first resolution set forth thereon, viz: that for establishing a pedestrian crosswalk across Shaughnessy Street at the Nurth side of Fraser Avenue, had not been recorded, and members of Council generally agreed that the necessary correction be made thereto. BY-LAWS: By-laws Nos. 1469, 1470, and 1471 - relative to three rezoning applications for residential development in the Langan-Warwick-Taylor- Brown area —- were then submitted for further consideration. Moved by Alderman Thompson: Seconded by Alderman Laking: That By~law No. 1469 be reconsidered, finally passed and adopted. Carried. Prior to passage of the foregoing resolutior:., Alderman Ranger inquired regarding the berm and landscaping proposed to be constructed on Ryan Street, and Alderman Mabbett advised that the developer of the adjacent property on the West side of Ryan Street would be responsible therefore. Alderman Laking stated his concern that the City's involvement in servicing the whole area would set a precedent for other developments
