DISTRICT OF COGUITLAM BY-LAW WO. 72, 1972 A By-law of the District of Coquitlam to Prohibit Vehicular Traffic on Westwood Street during prescribed hours. WHEREAS pursuant to Sections 125 and 199 of the "Hotor Vehicle Act", 1957, Chapter 39, and amendments thereto, the Council] of a municipality may by by-law prohibit the use of or presence on a designated highway or highways by any designated vehicle, or type or species thereof, either at all times or at designated times; AHD WHEREAS it {1s deemed necessary for the convenience and well being of the residents living adjacent to Wastwood Street to regulate the gross vehicle weight of vehtelas which may be driven, used or operated on Westwood Street in the District of Coquitiam; AND WHEREAS the District of Coquitlam and the City of Port Coquitlam entered into an agreement for the regulation of Westwood Strect, insofar as it is a common boundary between the District of Coquitlam and the City of Port Coquitlam, pursuant to the authority of the "City of Port Coquitlam Westwood Street and Woodland Drive Traffic Agreement Authorization By-law 1971, No. 1090", and the "District of Coquitlam and City of Port Coquitlam Westwood Street and Woodland Drive Traffic Agreement Author?zation By-law No. 1975, 1971", which Agreement stipulated that no traffic regulation shall take place in relation to Westwood Street unless the consent of each of the parties {s granted thereto, and whereas such Agreement has been obtained; NOW THEREFORE the Munictpal Counct!] of the District of Coquitlam, in open meeting assembled, and tn pursuance of the powers vested in it by the "Motor Vehicle Act", being Chapter 253, R.
