The Foundation Board met March 16 to
begin plans for the annual fundraising
event From the GQvea to Kiln. We hope to
expand the silent auction to include a
greater variety of choices and provide live
music during dinner. Last year the plates
on which the dessert was served were
made through a very successful series of
plate-making workshops, A similar ap-
proach will be considered thts year.

JUMP START SCHOLARSHIP
Deadline March 31

The 51000 scholarship is awarded to
further the education of a student or
emerging artist working within the ce-
ramic medium. Potential candidates
should be a member of the Potters Guild
of BC and aresident of British Columbia,
Alberta of Saskatchewan. They cannal
be previous winners, paid staff or board
members of ether the Guild or Founda-
tion. Submit acurriculum vitae, 12 slides

of current work, reasons for proposed study
and a budget. Decisions are made by May

POTTERS GUILD OF BC
EDUCATION AND
SCHOLARSHIP FUND
Deadline March 31.

The annual $500 scholarship is awardedto
a secondary school student in grade [2
planning further education in ceramics.
The prize includes aome-year membership
in the Petters Guild. Candidates must re-
side in BC and must not be paid staff ora
board member of either NWCF or POBC.
Submit curriculum vitae, 12 slides of cur-
rent work and reasons for their continued
study in ceramics and a letter of recom-
mendation from a teacher. Decisions will
be maxte by May 31. Awards are made to

place of study.
