EB OY THE CORPORATION: OF THE CY OF PORT COQUITLAR Mayor and Aldermen October 8th, 1981. R.A. Freemen, Cec. F.E. Peters, P.Eng., City Clerk. City Engineer. Perth Street Road Allowance Attached is a copy of a report and map respecting the above noted subject thas wae presented to Council on August 3lsc, 1981. Algo attached 13 a copy of our latter of September 3rd, 1981 to Mr. Faurschau outlining Council's approval of the proposal presented at that time. Mr. Faurschau has now completed his discusatons with the Approving Officer and he will be requiring a slightly wider than 16' serip in order that he fay construct the house chac he hag already designed. Mr. Faurschau based the design of the house upon a tTequirement for a four foor side yard on the east side but as thie will be adjacent to what is, and will remain, the Perth Street road allowanca he will actually require an & fe. side yard. In order to accomodate this we are proposing that a 20 fcoe strip ba transferred to Mr. Faurschau's ownership upen hie undertaking to return 4 feet ‘to the City should che remainder of Perch Stveat ever be made ineo « lot. By transferring 20 feet to Me. Faursehau it would mean that there would be 46 feee of the road allowance remaining aad when the 4 feet ia returned to the City it would enable @ 50 foot wide lot to be created. _ There ig no need for any Council action at this particular time and the purpose “of thie memorandum is simply to prepare the Council for the fact chat when che ~hecessary Road Closure By-law {9 presented ie will cover a 20 foot strip rather than a 16 foot strip. Naturally, 1£ any member of Council hag objection cao this procedure it should be raised at the earliest opportunity as Mr. Faurschau has now contacted a Land Surveyor and is having the necessary legal plane prepared. ‘ City Clerk.
