Table 3 shows the distribution of licensed facilities by type. * Facilities for the mentally disabled represent the largest share (41.80%) of the total number of licensed facilities in the GVRD, but the second largest share (22.71%) of the total number of beds. Facilities for the mentelly ill represent ‘the second largest share (21.58%) of licensed facilities, bui the greatest number of beds (27.95%). For example, Vancouver has: 54% of all licensed facilities and 62% of all beds for the physically disabled; 33% of all licensed facilities and 42% of all beds for people with mental illness.
