SUBJECT: 1986 May Day Parade
Recommendation:
That the 1986 May Day Parade use the same route as in 1985.
Background & Comments;

Last year concern was expressed by several merchants that the
1986 parade route not utilize McAllister Avenue. We have
investigated the possibility of using Elgin Street; however,

B.C. Transit indicated that this was not acceptable, Attached to

the report is a letter from B.C. Transit, Earlier this year,
Council passed a resolution that the parade be held on the South
side of town. The Committee will be supporting that the parade
route utilize McAllister Avenue,
