"WHEREAS The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam, acting on behalf
of the Emergency Health Commission of the Province of British Columbia,
operates, through its Fire Department, ambulance service in the City;

AND WHEREAS the City now provides this service through the use of two
ambulances and it is the desire of the Council to eliminate one ambulance
and rely on the Emergency Health Commission to directly provide the
additional service of a second ambulance when required;

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Administrator and Fire Chief
be lastructed to limit the City's assistance to the Emergency Health
Commission to the provision of one ambulance only while receiving revenue

therefor in accordance with the Emergency Health Commission's standard
~Pprocedures, effective 1982 02 15;

THAT the Emergency Health Commission be advised of this in order that
the necessary arrangements will be made to provide to the City's residents
the services of a second ambulance, when required."
