May 17th, A regular meeting of the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam was held in the Council Chamber, Port Coquitlam City Hall, 2272 McAllister Avenue, Port Coquitlam, B. C., on May 17th, 1976, at 7:30 p.m. Acting-Mayor Alderman E.W. Mabbett, Aldermen J.J. Xeryluk, G.R. Laking, P.F. Ranger, and L.M. Traboulay in attendance. Also in attendance were Chief Administrative Officer L.D. Pollock, City Clerk R.A. Freeman, Fire Chief W.S. Wingrove, Recreation Director Janna Taylor, Works & Utilities Superintendent G. Ulmer, and Mrs. B.M. Aalten. Ald.Mabbett appointed Seconded by Alderman Ranger: Acting-Mayor | Moved by Alderman Laking: That Alderman E.W. Mabbett te and he is hereby appointed Acting- Mayor for the regular meeting of the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam this evening, May 17th, 1976. Carried. Prior to commencement of the meeting, Acting-Mayor Alderman Mabbett Acting-Mayor | re absence of advised, for the benefit of those present, that His Worship Mayor J.M. Mayor; Acting ~Mayor Ald. Campbell is presently in Brazil, South America on a mission-holiday, and Thompson; & | City Engineer that Acting-Mayor Alderman M.A. Thompson and City Engineer V.G. Borch, P. Eng., are attending a meeting in Ottawa with representatives of the Federal Government for the purpose of getting priorities set and financing for the City's dyking programme. CONFIRMATION OF MINUTES: Moved by Alderman Keryluk: Minutes - May 10/76 Seconded by Aldermen Laking: That the minutes of the regular meeting of this Council held on May 10th, 1976, be taken as read and adopted. Carried. Prior to passage of the foregoing resolution, the City Clerk stated that Alderman Keryluk had advised him earlier with respect to the resolution set forth on Page 8 of the May 10th, 1976 Council meeting minutes, that as well as Alderman Traboulay, he had voted in favour thereof, and the minutes were, therefore, corrected accordingly. Alderman Ranger stated bow! his recollection that he had voted against the resolution on Page 4 of the said minutes concerning Rezoning Application R#3~-75 and a frontage exemption policy as he had not received answers from the Planning & Zoning Committee to the following items raised at the May 3rd, 1976 Council meeting on the said rezoning application:
