| Alan was born in. New Westminstei,, B.C, and attended school:in East Delta
| and Ladner, He spent ‘most of. his: life in’ the: ‘logging industry. operating
| heavy equipment: ‘He ran‘a log. loader’: for. Canfor on: Vancouver Island, -
| moved to Terrace in 1969 1 as-a ctane operator. ¢ on: Rivtow’s self ‘loading

| barges.

In 1980 he bought a ‘backhoe aid ‘operated: it iander his: company: name ‘|
| Thomson: & Sons., He. worked for the highways dept. and the Regional |
District. Later he bought a Line. Loader and worked for Skeena Sawmills and "|
| subcontracted: to various companies in. Terrace and Prince Rupert. In. 1996. t
he wrote his ticket to qualify cunning heavy lift cranes, He was a member-of. |
115 Operating Engineers (B.C.} He transferred to '100E Alberta: Branch’ 955 In |
1999 and spent the last four years. working in the Alberta oil industry. - 4
| Alan was a very patient, kind'and.gentle person. ‘He will be sadly missed: |!
by his family and all who. knew him. We would like to thank his coworkers.
