SUBJECT: ENVIRONMENTAL NEWSLETTER LOGO CONTEST

RECOMMENDATION:

BACE.GROUND & COMMIENTS:

The Engineering Department has invited all the elementary schools in Port Coquitlam to create a Logo for our
Environmental Newsletter. We have written to Mr. T.L. Harris, Superintendent of School District No. 43 and
informed him the design criteria of our contest.

At this time, we are seeking 2 representative from the Community to be on the judging panel. If the Mayor and
the Councillors have a candidate in mind, please contact Mr. Francis Cheung in the Engineering Department.

Attached is a letter from Mr. Harris and he is very excited about the contest. I have also attached a copy of the
original letter that was sent to Mr. Harris regarding the Logo design contest.
