Recommendation

1. That the City enter into a contract with Pyrodyne
Canada to provide the fireworks for the May Day
Festival. oo | :
2. That the City Clerk be authorized to sign the contract
on behalf of the City of Port Coquitiam. |

Background & Comments

This year the fireworks display for the May Day will once again be |
held at Reeve Street Park on Thursday, May 9th at dusk. :

The Parks & Recreation Department have negotiated a contract with
Pyrodyne Canada to provide the fireworks this year. This Company is.
experienced in the business of fireworks displays and will be 7
providing a continuous display without any interruptions.

Please see the attached report, from the Recreation Manager, which
provides further information.
