January 19, 1989 The Corporation of the District of Port Coquitlam Public Works Committee 2850 Shaughnessy Street Port Coquitlam, B.C. V3C 2A8 Attention: Mr. Tony Chona, Citv Enaineer Dear Mr. Chong: Re: Strata Plan NW-1149 - Meridian Gardens 2986 Coast Meridian Road, Port Coquitlam, B.C. As recommended by your Engineering Department, I am writing to vou regarding the continuous sight obstruction of residents accessing Coast Meridian Road from the above noted development. Vehicles (construction or resident vehicles from the adjoining properties along Coast Meridian Road) are parking so close to the entranceway to the development that there is no chance of residents being able to see a vehicle coming down Coast Meridian Road until they are right out on the road. As we are all aware, this road has experienced a considerable increase in traffic due to the influx of population and construction in the area. As best as I can interpret the by-law contained within your cnarter, there is only a provision for no parking within three (3) meters of the residential entranceway. This is very inadequate as three (3) meters would not allow for sufficient space to sight any traffic north or south on Coast Meridian Road.
