RECOMMENDATION:

That City Council authorize the Public Safaty Committee to participate in
the canada wide fire drill "Plan to Get Out Alive" October 9, 1985.

BACKGROUND & COMMENTS:

A city wide fire drill programme was developed by. the City of Edmonton
Fire Department with publicity and financial asaistance donated by the
McDonald's Restaurant chain. fue to the success of that initiative in
Edmonton, fire departments across canada are going to participate in the
Same programme. McDonald's Rastaurant chain will again be sponsoring |

the programme.
