Library Lease

RECOMMENDATION:

That Council give consideration to passage of the following resolution:

"That the 'Renewal of Lease' document between the City and Horner Developments
Limited referring to the premises occupied by the Port Coquitlam Library

on Lots 34 and 35, Block 3, District Lot 379, Group One, Plan 1213, New
Westminster District wherein the City's lease is renewed for a further

term of one year commencing on the first day of May, 1981 at a rental of
$7.50 per square foot ($63,277.50 per annum) be and the same is hereby

approved; ;

AND THAT His Worship the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to execute
the said renewal of lease on behalf of the City and to affix the City's

corporate seal thereto."

BACKGROUND AND COMMENTS:

A copy of the "Renewal of Lease" document referred to in the resolution
quoted above is attached and the terms stated therein are in accord with
those mentioned in the City Administrator's memorandum to Council dated

February 4th, 1982.
