3. Proposal for Public Showing of Photography

The Committee received a proposal. from Mrs. E.M.H. Cramer of
Port Coquitlam for participation in a drive to raise funds for showing
a collection of panoramic photographs of Port Coquitlam. The Committee
was asked to consider a donation of $50. towards the cost of putting on
a show and this donation could be put towards the purchase of any of the
photographs placed on display. The proposal suggested. that the display
could be set up in the local Library for the interest of local citizens.

The Committee viewed the selection of photographs submitted
by the applicant and felt that the.City should not be involved in donating
towards a commercial undertaking, but expressed no objection to the use
of the Library for showing these photographs and expressed an interest
in possibly purchasing photographs for the City Archives of any suitable
photographs that were produced. The Committee suggests that Mrs, Cramer
be so advised.
