Item No. 1 Genstar landscaped Medians The Committee discussed ~R the report from the City Clerk. commendation a) That discussions take place with Genstar in regards t.o the remaining islands to investigate the possibility of using agregate and trees rather than present landscaping used. ~Carr'e b) investigate the possibility with Genstar to replace existing landscaping with exposed agre&ate. To Carried Item No. Chelsea Park & Recreation Committee reviewed the estimates from thc Parlts Superintendent. It was recommended that a chain link fence adjacent to the homes be included in the estimate. Tlte Parlts The Parks & Recreation Di.rector also reported that the planning director had done the orking drawings for the park for a fee of g6,000. This co.,t is considerably less than if we went to a consultant. . Recommendation That a recommendation be taken to Council to transfer 4240,000 from the 4300,000 reserve fund to start construction of the park. Carried Item No. 3 Clematis Crescent The cost estimates from the Parks Superintendent were discussed. It was agreed that no monies were available in this year's parks budget. Recommendation That Alderman Thompson would speak to t.tte Nayor about Clematis Crescent to indicate there was no money available thi.s year.
