This Sunday, July 10, the destination is once again Maroon Mountain, to the eqast of Kitsum- kalum lake. This time, however, they'll be ifferant area of th mountain from that covered ear- lier this year. There is a mile long streich of logging road to cover —~ it may abing ina ot . hot be driveable — then a short bushwhack in to the open areas of the mountain. , Anyone interesied in joining in should be at the library at-9 am. Gord Mohr will lead the hike. A reminder that all hikes are wealher permitting and. dogs should be left at home. July 17 the club heads 10 miles east of town to Roraite Mountain. Four-wheel drives are the vehicle of choice for the drive in on an old logging road. From there, it’s a moderate trail of about two miles to the top of the ridge. The hike ~ offers scenery, wild flowers and lakes. Vicki (635-2935) will be leader and.the meeting time at the li- brary is again 9 a.m, The club goes further afield the following Sunday, July 24, lak- ing in the Comeau trail near Seeley Lake, 80 miles cast of Terrace. The road in is okay for 4-wheel drives and great views await, es- pecially if climbing the peaks visible from Seeley Lake.’ .
