Ken’s Photo Wheel for Charity. set to roll From Terrace to Kitimat TERRACE — Able-bodied wheelchair athlete Kelly Gordon will be wheeling from Terrace to Kitimat, an approximate distance of 60 kilometres, on Sunday, Oct. 19 to raise money for charity. The Wheel for Charity effort is being staged in conjunction with the 7th annual Aluminum City Telethon to be held at the Mount Elizabeth Theatre in Kitimat on Oct. 19. The fund-raising effort will begin at noon from the junction of Highways 37 and 16. The estimated arrival time at the theatre is ex- pected to be between 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. that even- ing. The goal of this trek is to generate donations for the Aluminum City Telethon which annually con- tributes funds to Kitimat community groups such as the Child Development Centre. The northwest representative for Canadian Pacific Airways, Tom Laurie, has generously agreed to pro- vide, as incentive for pledgers, a return trip for two to Vancouver. To win this prize, a person must estimate the total time of the wheel in hours and minutes, and submit a pledge of no less than $15 before 3 p.m. on the day of the telethon. Entry forms can be delivered in person or by telephone to the telethon. In the unlikely event that the ACT VII ‘Wheel for Charity’? cannot be completed, all entry forms ex- ceeding the minimum pledge amount will be included in a draw for the trip to Vancouver. Well known disabled wheelchair athlete Paul Clark was originally scheduled to accompany Gordon on the trip. But due to a broken arm, suffered in a race in Seattle, Clark will instead accompany Gordon in a support vehicle. Green Stains Copper in water causes green- ish stains on porcelain.
