As shown on the attached November 14, 1994 memo from the Supervisor of Design and Technical Services, the Ministry of Highways has agreed to include additional municipal works in the Ministry’s contract for the Mary Hill Bypass upgrading. This additional municipal work includes the following: a) Streetlighting on Broadway and Kingsway b) Culvert and ditch improvements for municipal storm drainage run off. c) Curb and gutters, plus catch basins on Kingsway to improve drainage. d) Lowering of an existing watermain and sanitary sewer required to complete the municipal ditching work. The total cost to Port Coquitlam for this work is estimated to be $236,328 (including GST). The funds for this work would be based on $155,168 from the 1996 Capital Budget and $81,160 from DCC resources. The attached Plan 1 shows the proposed servicing improvements. The Ministry anticipates completion of this project by November 1996 with final invoicing to the City by March 1997. The Ministry requires approval in principle from Council for this work at this time, so that the municipal servicing can be included in the design and tender for the Mary Hill Bypsss project. ahyhscz, P.
