A.

The Forest Service and the City of Port Coquitlam wish to
anter into a Memorandum of Understanding pursuant to which
they will cooperate in attacking, controlling and
extinguishing forest fires burning within the boundaries cof
the Chilliwack Forest District and The City of Port Coquitlam,

The Forest Sarvice and the City of Port Coquitlam

intend that this Memorandum of Understanding will identify
their respective roles and responsibilities for their
cooperative efforts in attacking, controlling and
extinguishing forest fires burning with the City of Port
Coquitlam boundaries,

Tha Forast Service and the City of Port Coquitlam agree as follows:

ARTICLE I DEFINITIONS

1.04

In this Mamorandum of Understanding:

"forest" means land containing timber, shrubs, slash and
peat;

"forest fire” includes any uncontrolled fire burning
timber, shrubs, slash or paat;

"Schedule ‘A’ Lands" means land within the
City of Port Coguitlan marked age "Schedule ‘A’

Lands" on Exhibit 1";

"Senedule ’B; Lands" means land within the
City of Port Coquitlam marked as "Schedules ‘B’
Landa" on "Exhdbdt 1".
