We at Variety Club are once again requesting your help in declaring
February 8 ~ 14, 1982, "Variety Club Week" in your community.

Last year cammmities throughout the Province participated in this
gesture of good will, and as a result, many citizens became aware of
the Variety Club's one and only goal - to raise fimds to help the
underprivileged and special children of B.C.

WHEREAS Variety Club Telethon '82 will be broadcast live
throughout B.C. for 22 hours an February 13 and
14, 1982.

A large amount of the funds donated during Telethon
"82 will go toward the establishment of a Lind Bank
for the children of B.C. who by birth or by accident
are in need of artificial limbs;

There are now 110 Sunshine Coaches for special and
underprivileged children in use throughout B.C., 20
of which were donated in 1981. ;

Due to the generosity and good will of the People of
B-C., over $2 million was raised for the children

during Telethon '81, and we hope to exceed that
amount during Telethon ‘82.

Together let us make the 1982 Variety Club Telethon the very best
"show of hearts" ever!
