The 32-year-old Lapointe has been struggling with cancer since just before Christmas, when a doctor told him the illness he thought was the flu isn’t, A week after being diagnosed, Lapointe’s. brother Warren, in Kitimat, was also diapnosed with cancer, Volunteer Denise McCann says Mark LaPointe has been given a 25 per cent chance of survival and is undergoing redical cancer treatment in Vancouver.
