Skeena. ‘Health “| Unit. ~ In a telephone interview with the Herald on Tuesday, Dr. Luck said there is always a certain de- gree of pollution in all surface water due to foreign matter depo- sited through various means. - He said, “Potentlally any sur- face water is polluted to some ex- tent, but we have run a series of teats at Lakelze Lake and although they have not been too satisfac- tory, they certainly have given us no immediate cause for alarm.” Dr. Luck also pointed out that certain areas of the lake are re- ceiving raw sewage outflow and that his department is currently taking measures to stop the pract- ice.
