September 8th, 1975 Curfew hour, Inspector Young stated he felt the Municipal Act should be ameuded to delete the word "habitual" as it is very difficult to interpret, and he pointed out that in charging for such an offence, it would be necessary not only to prove every occasion a youth violates the Curfew hour, but also that the violation was permitted by the parents - both of which are almost impossible. Alderman Ranger stated he would like to see an impartial questionnaire circulated to bus and taxi drivers with respect to the Curfew By-law in order to assist members of Council in their deliberations thereon, and he proposed the following motion: Moved by Alderman Ranger: Seconded by Alderman Mabbett: That the Environmental Protection Committee prepare a questionnaire for distribution to bus and taxi drivers and others with respect to the Curfew By-law. UNFINISHED BUSINESS: City Clerk re The City Clerk advised that a resolution concerning a recommendation Zoning regulations-— pub. bldgs. of the Planning & Zoning Committee on zoning regulations governing public buildings that was deferred at the August 25th, 1975 Council meeting was now available for consideration. Moved by Alderman Thompson: Seconded by Alderman Laking: That as recommended in the report from the Planning & Zoning Committee, July 24th, 1975, the development and use of public buildings should comply with all relevant by-law regulations. Alderman Ranger inquired as to the effect of the recommendation on existing buildings and the City Planner advised that steps should be taken as quickly as possible to have those buildings and playgrounds not properly zoned brought into conformity; however, he stated there would be no need for any major adjustments in that respect.
