DRAFT RESOLUTION To PORT COQUITLAM COUNCIL

WHEREAS all evidence to date indicates the cost of highway
maintenance would increase through privatization: and

WHEREAS evidence ll as safety will be
comprised through

WHEREAS the economic impact of privatization on highways has not
been Properly analyzed or researched;

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Municipality of Port Coquitlam
communicate directly with the Provincial Government and, through
the Union of B.c, Municipalities, request that privatization of

highways be put on hold pending a comprehensive review of the

impact, with an Opportunity for input from the communities
affected.
