RECOMMENDATION: That City Council! authorise the Mayor -and
Clerk to endorses sn oncroachment agreement
to permit construction of a canopy sign
over the sidewaitk at the corner of Mary
Hill road and McAllister Avenue. ,

This restaurant is locating in the commercial! building at the
corner of Mary Hitl Road and Mcallister. In redecorating the
building, the applicants, are requesting permission to erect a
fabric awning, similar in design to the canopy on the northside
. mall. Copies of drawings showing the location and design of
the canopy are attached to this report.

The Ptanning Department recommends approval of this

apptication. Canopies, providing rain protection, are a design
element of the downtown revitalization programme that has been
proceeding with success.
