Re: Kincaid Treatment Resource Centre
1978 Budget Submission

At the regular meeting of the School District No. 43
Joint Family Division Committee held on April 12th, 1978,
Mr. John Maddalozzo, Director of the Kincaid Treatment
Resource Centre advised that, as in past years, the Ministry
of Human Resources were apparently not prepared to approve
the Budget as submitted. Mr. Maddalozzo further advised
that the support of the Committee and the respective Municipal
Councils has, in the past, assisted him in obtaining the
necessary minimal increases requested and he was again
requesting this assistance. A general discussion ensued and
the following resolution was then passed:

"That the Family Division Committee write a letter to
the Minister of Human Resources. in support of the Kincaid
Treatment Resource Centre Budget submission for 1978;

AND THAT support of the submission also be requested by
the Committee from the three Municipal Councils, the Board
of School Trustees and M.L.A. George Kerster."

The Committee unanimously agrees that the Kincaid
Centre provides a valuable service to School District No.
and any loss otf staff, due to the lack of necessary funds,

would be detrimental to the programme.
