. Aldermen Meyer and Traboulay voted against the resolution,

Prior. ts the question being called on the foregoing resolution, Alderman
_‘Traboulay Stated that according to Roberts Rules of Order the Clerk! S inter—
pretation of the procedure is incorrect and that the resolution should be

a declared Out of Order ; however, Mayor, Scott stated that the resolution was -

“in order and was ‘properly before the meeting, whereupon Alderman ‘Traboulay

challenged the ruling of the Shades

The question ‘was then called on the resolution ef Aldermen Laking and
Ranger, and. upon its passage Mayor Scott Stated that the question of the
City withdrawing from the Motor Vehicle Licencing operation, Was now open.
for ‘discussion and he. stated that at the meeting last week it was decided

not fo accept the motion made to actually withdraw from the motor vehicle |
‘operation, and he contended that fhis was | primarily because it would be de-~
priving citizens of a ‘Service; however, he advised che personally did not
agree with it, and | that a further report fron the okey Administrator has
now been received on confidential matters relevant to the Subject. Mayor
Scott. then commented he did not. feel the City was being fair to the Tnsurance
Agents in the Community by going into competition with them, and pointed out
that there is neither sufficient staff or space at the City Hall to continue
operating. as a motor Vehicle Licencing branch. Alderman Thompson commented
on the cost of continuing. ta provide: this service and Alderman vabbett stan
