Memo to: Mayor & Aldermen from: City Clerk - cont'd, Page - 2 = Jane 4th, 1973 (4) The Regional Board Director is the candidate who, among the candidates who are elected as Mayor and Alderman, receives the highest number of votes for Regional Board Director; but where a municipality is entitled to more than one Regional Board Director the candidate having the next highest number of votes is also elected and so on until all Regional Board Directors to which the municipality is entitled are elected. (5) The term of office of a municipal Regional Board Director is the same as his term of office for Mayor or Alderman and where a Mayor or Alderman who is a Regional Board Director resigns or is disqualified from holding office as Mayor or Alderman his seat on the Regional Board is vacant. . (6) Notwithstanding this section, at an election for Regional Board Directors, a Mayor or Alderman whose term of office is not expiring may be nominated and elected as a Regional Board Director for the balance of his term of office without being renominated and elected as Mayor or Alderman. and the notice of poll pursuant to subsection (2) of section 65 shall be varied accordingly. .
