A petition with 26 signatures requesting a solution to the heavy traffic on Davies Avenue - Hastings Street. Petition with 111 signatures requesting that Davies Avenue and Hastings Street be closed to through traffic. Schedule ’A’ from the City of Port Coquitlam Subdivision Bylaw No. 2241 showing the classification of streets within Port Coquitlam. Memorandum from the Project/Traffic Technician to the City Engineer dated April 13, 1992 regarding requests for traffic improvements on Davies and Hastings. Portion of the April 15, 1992 Public Works/Traffic Committee meeting pertaining to a delegation from the Davies area. The following are some of the suggestions from local residents for traffic improvements in the Davies/Hastings area: Place a road block on Davies, west of Raleigh. Post signs preventing right tums in the afternoon rush hour for north bound traffic on Westwood at Westwood and Davies. Post "No Left Tum" during the moming rush hour signs for west bound traffic on Lougheed Highway at Lougheed and Hastings. Although these measures would reduce traffic on Davies and Hastings, there would be negative effects on businesses in the area some increase traffic on other streets in the area and additional inconvenience to a portion of the residents in the area.
