In all cases the zoning was found to permit a much broader number and variety of uses. The most restrictive Municipality Is Port Moody that permits grocery stores, confectionary stores and nelghbourhood pubs. The other Municipalities, except Whistler, provided for a range of uses that are associated with a smail shopping mall, which would be zoned C-2 In Port Coquitiam. Whistler Municipality. offered an interesting list of uses Ineluding child'care, bakeries and Jaundromats in addition to the usual generic headings of personal service and officas. A regulatory change being proposed Is to slightly reduce the maximum floor-area of commercial bulidings and to clarify that this regulation applties to all commercial uses not just retal! sales of groceries.
