In the second and third requested recommendations about changing policies, bylaws and procedures, the letter indicates the proposed starter house can be constructed in Port Coquitlam as it meets the minimum floor area requirement. I refer, to my comment above that notwithstanding our concept approval, the house must comply with the relevant legislation regarding construction and Lot siting. The construction details are probably standard and would be cnecked at the time working drawings are submitted. With respect to siting and compliance with Zoning Bylaw requirements, that would relate to each individual property and proposal for locating a house on gach lot. a 3. The last request, that City Council entertain the possibility of permitting the Association to construct a house in Port Coquitlam is supported. To that end a comment is included in the draft letter that the City will make the services of the Planning Department available to assist the Association identify sites(s) they might want to build upon. In conclusion, this report is recommending that City Council extend a concept approval of the Triple A, Starter House'. In addition, this report is also recommending that the Housing and Urban Develapment Association be invited ta consider Port Coquitlam as one of the possible municipalities where they construct a demonstration house.
