_ DON’T BOMB THE MOVIE THEATRE!

-Tillicum Twin Theatres owner Bill Young says he had nothing to do
with the dissappearance of Sehindler’s List, Steven Spielberg’s Acad-
emy award-winning film that was originally scheduled to play here
May 6-19.

‘We're taking nothing but abuse over it,” Young said last week.

Some other movie theatre has apparently held onto the copy of the
movie that was destined to come here, he said.

“They're holding on everywhere and there’s not enough prints to go
around,’® he explained. ;

The good news is that the movie will come here on — cross your fin-
gers — June 7th. Young said it should run for at least two weeks.

That should aiso put it out of range of the Stanley Cup holy season. —

Young attributes low theatre attendance of late to the playoffs, adding
it’s particularly quict on nights when the Vancouver Canucks are play-
