Froese, who is enjoying regular workouts at Iron- works, (a local gym oper- ated by its founder Dick Ladouceur) is also five and a half months preg- Froese committed herself to regular workouts because she was concerned ‘with = her weight, like most women are during pregnancy. Froese, stated that after consulting. her family “doc- tor she was given permis- sion to go ahead with an exercise weight lifting pro- gram. Froese, who has ‘been involved in- aerobics - programs along with other fitness programs, said she - did not enjoy them. How- . ever, last May she par- ticipated in a training pro- gram under the expertise of coach Dick Ladouceur _and enjoyed the workout. very much. ‘*That’s why I . came back to Ironworks,”’ she stated. _ When Froese started. again this year in January she felt self conscious because of her pregnancy. Her _self-consciousness, ‘however, soon vanished. I’m thankful I can do smething for myself now ‘instead of waiting until after the baby is born, . Froese added. Her training session in- cludes six. different types of leg raises: leg and calf press, leg extension, leg curl, calf raises and oblique .pull along with two types of sit ups. The bench press is also part of her routine. After this -exercise Froese does what is known.as flies. She _ lays on her back lifting weights, which in this case are dumbells. A number of exercises known as cable rowing, wide pull Daniele Berquist - downs, military press, ‘bicep curls, tricep exten- sions and tricep pull downs, and wrist curls are all part of a single routine — for Froese. .
