SUBJECT: Thompson Park - Batting Cage

RECOMMENDATION:

That the Minor Baseball Association be permitted to erect a
batting cage at Thompson Park.

BACKGROUND & COMIiENTS:

The Minor Baseball Association has requested that they be permitted
to install a batting cage at Thompson Park. (Please see attached
Letter.) They have requested that the City install the cement
Slabs and pipe sleeves for the cage; this cost has been estimated
to be $370.00. ‘The location of the batting cage will be at the
North end, behind the soccer goal posts. The Parks & Recreation
Committee is in favour of permitting the association to erect the
batting cage and the City will put in the cement slabs and pipe
sleeves. ,
