Alderman Keryluk advised he had received complaints there had been stumps dumped at the approach to the Patricia Avenue footbridge and the Works and Utilities Superintendent advised the City had placed them there to discourage 4-wheel drive vehicles. Alderman Traboulay asked regarding Mr. E. Bonham's visit to Council to discuss the expense incurred by the City regarding fixing up the landscaping after the dyking project was completed and Mayor Laking spoke regarding receiving a report on the problem during the flooding with the pump at the end of the Cedar Drive and the City Administrator advised he had been talking to Mr. Bonham regarding setting up a meeting date. Alderman Traboulay advised there had been a tree cut down on Coast Meridian Road and the Works & Utilities Superintendent advised the tree was dying and the Parks Superintendent had supervised its removal. Alderman Traboulay advised there have been fires in the residential areas to burn debris and there are tires piled up at Inverness Street, apparently for burning, and asked that this be looked into. Alderman Mabbett expressed his concern regarding the delay in the Eagle Ridge Hospital and Mayor Laking stated he will set up a meeting with Mayor Tonn and Mayor Young and make an appointment to sce the Premier. Alderman Wright asked that the Clty reply to the letter from Mr. M.A. La Marre, 2588 Kitchener Avenue, regarding his letter of objection on rezoning By-law No. 1733.
