At the regular meeting on Wednesday, Mayor Bob Prittie of Burnaby was
elected as Chairman for 1973-74 with Allan Kelly as Deputy Chairman.

I was appointed as a new member to both the Political Planning Committee
and the Housing Committee.

This will be in addition to my duties as a member of the Board of
Directors, the Water District Board, the Sewer District Board and the Parks
Committee...

An excellent report on the 1972 activities of the Board was made by
retiring Chairman Mayor Ron Andrews and copies are available for Council perusal.

Representation will be made to our Council shortly on the question of
Municipal Labour Relations becoming a function of the Regional District.

This has been discussed previously by our Council several times. It
is proposed to have the services available on a contractural basis for those
G.V.B.D. members wishing to avail themselves of the service,

Revised recommendations re Floodplain and Floodproofing policies will
be discussed at the March meeting of the Board when this previously tabled subject
will be reconsidered. .

This information will be made available to the Building and Protectian

Committee for discussion and recommendation to Council in advance of the next

Regional District meeting,
