RE: Petition Under Plans Cancellation Act — Riteway Equipment Rentals (1973) Ltd. -
Remainder Lot 7, Plan 860

The City has been notified of an application under the Plans Cancellation Act

by Riteway Equipment Rentals (1973) Ltd. requesting that the road allowances

lying to the east and north of its property be added to the property. The appli-
cation comes on for hearing before the Registrar of the New Westminster Land
Registration District on Tuesday, June 21st, 1977 and if the application is granted
it would mean that the road allowances would be added to the property and the City's
rights to construct public roads thereon would be taken away. As the City may well
wish to construct roads on the two areas now proposed for cancellation we would
anticipate that the Council would wish to oppose this application and have prepared
the following draft resolution for Council's consideration:

"That the City Solicitor be instructed to oppose the petition under the Plans
Cancellation Act made by Riteway Equipment Rentals (1973) Ltd. relating to the
remainder Lot 7, Plan 860 New Westminster District and dated May 18, 1977.”
