A resolution authorizing the Planning Department to re-draft Development Permit 46/90 based on a 20 unit apartment building four storeys$; and A resolution authorizing the Mayor and Clerk to sign the Development Permit, subject to: a. Satisfaction of Engineering requirements; b. Revisions to the Landscaping Plan, to reflect the revised building, to the satisfaction of the Parks and Recreation Department; and Completion of a.design to the satisfaction of the Director of « rt etd Planning. ~~ . BACKGROUND: On September 24, 1999 the Municipal Council approved in principle a Development Permit for a three storey, 15 unit apartment building on this site. The original applicant has sold the project and the new owners wish to develop the building as a rental facility, increasing the number of floors to four and the number of units from 15 to 20, to reflect current market conditions. The Parks and Recreation Department, Fire Department and Engineering departments comments remain unchanged from the original application. The Building Department comments are as follows: A four storey combustible building is not permitted by the B.C. Building Code. The architect of this project has submitted an equivalency proposal as defined in the Building Bylaw No. 1298 (9). The equivalency proposal is subject to Council's approval. weoal/ ITEM | PAGE
