V3C 2A8 Your Worship: RE: BILINGJALISM At the recent Annual Convention of the Canadian Junior Chamber in St. John's, Newfoundland, our General Assembly unanimously supported the attached Resolution. While we realize that the "Language Issue" has created a great degree of debate across the country, we would like to take this opportunity to go on record as saying that as Canadians, we believe that a stronger effort in recognizing the distinctive duality of Canada is required. While our opponents might suggest that uni-lingualism provides retribution for perceived wrong doings of the past we prefer to look to the future in anticipation of a stronger and more united Canada. We heartily encourage your Council to actively support our resolution and confirm their faith in a multicultural Canada. Should you wish to discuss this document, we encourage you to contact the undersigned and we would be most pleased to send a delegate to address your organization in person.
