The Mayor In Council The Corporation Of The City Of Port Coquitlam 2272 McAllister Avenue Port Coquitlam, B.C. V3C° 2A8 Dear Sir: Re: Proposed Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 2257 I have received the notice of Public Hearing regarding the above zoning changes, and must set out my concerns regarding the proposed zoning for Lincoln Avenue, west of Ulster Street. My family has owned Lats 18 and 19 on Lincoln Avenue for approximately the last 14 years. In February of 1984, I approached the City to build Single family dwellings on these two lots, as well as asking if it would be possible tu purchase Lot 20 from the City. We own a construction business and we were willing to install the road and services on Lincoln to make these properties marketable. ‘I spoke with a Mr. B. Kirk and he said that he did not feel it would be desirable for the City to allow us to build Single family on these lots, but I should put my question in writing and he would look into it. We received a reply from Mr. R. A. Freeman dated April lath, 1984, which I am enclosing. In his reply it was stated that all 6 iots (15 te 20 inclusive) would have to be rezoned to allow for some form of townhouse complex to meet the Councils approval for the sale of lot 20. At that time we approached Mrs. Janet Lundrie, the owner of Lots 15, 16, and 17, if not to purchase then to acquire an option on her property to alicw for us to go ahead with the purchase from the City and the subsequent rezoning. She was not in a position to deal on these properties due to family reasons. I wrote Mr. Kirk again on June 4, 1984 stating the problem with Mrs. Lundrie and also asking if it would be possible to purchase two lots to the east of Lot 20, which were Lots 21 and 22 prior to the consolidation of the City property to the east. I received a reply on June 12th 1984, stating this would not be acceptable at that time. I have over the years, stayed in touch with Mrs. Lundrie and had hoped that we could, in time, go through with this development. The group which purchased the large parcel to the east of ours now owns "Lets 21 and 22" and I would like to point out that the price they paid for mmensurate with the square footage price we had agreed to for Lot 20, three years ago. cont..
