March 23rd, 1981. Moved by Alderman Traboulay: Seconded by Alderman Wright: That the resignation of Mr. L.D. Pollock from the position of Administrator for The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam, submitted on March 23rd, 1981 to take effect one month after that date be accepted with deep regret. Prior to passage of the resolution qu ted above several members of the Council expressed their personal regrets at Mr. Pollock's decision to leave the employ of the City of Port Coquitlam. NEW BUSINESS: Alderman Traboulay referred to a Public Hearing being held by The District of Coquitlam respecting development in the Oxbow area and expressed concern regarding the runoff of storm water. The City Engineer advised that only one-third of the expected storm water runoff from the development was expected to enter Hyde Creek and flow to the City and he advised that the District of Coquitlam, in its Subdivision By~law, required a zero Increase in runoff. Mayor Laking advised that due to another meeting being held by the Council on the date of the Public Hearing - Thursday, March 26th, 1981 ~ it would not be possible for the Council to represented at that Public Hearing and Alderman Traboulay suggested that a letter, expressing the City's concern, be forwarded. Moved by Alderman Traboulay: Seconded by Alderman Muldoon: That a letter be forwarded to the District of Coquitlam advising that Municipality of the concerns of the City of Port Coquitlam respecting the runoff of storm water to Hyde Creek from the proposed Oxbow development. Carried. Alderman Traboulay referred tothe forthcoming Conference on Juvenile Crime Prevention that had been the subject of discussion in Council last week. Moved by Alderman Traboulay: Seconded by Alderman Gates: That the City Clerk be instructed to submit the name of Alderman Muldoon to the Lower Mainland Municipal Association as a possible participant in the Juvenile Crime Prevention Conference scheduled for June 5th, 6th, and 7th, 1981 in either Cranbrook or Kimberly.
