Dear Mr. Borch:

We wish to confirm a discussion between yourself, Robert Bland and
myself on 19 November concerning terms of reference for a proposed
study you wish us to undertake in order to evaluate alternate internal
drainage arrangements in certain selected areas of the Port Coquitlam
Flood Protection Works.

The three selected areas to be studied comprise Hyde Creek and Cedar
Ditch, Harbour Road, and Prairie Road and Dominion Avenue. .

it Ts our understanding that the scope of the work envisaged in each
of the selected areas should include the following:

ee: hydrological study to estimate the instantaneous flow resulting
from;

rainfall of 5 year return period,
rainfall of 10 year return period, and,
rainfall of 25 year return period:

Preliminary design of the main drainage ditches, pump stations and
flood boxes necessary to dispose of each condition of instantaneous
flow detailed in 1. above. Ditches would be considered up to 50%
flow points:

Estimates to determine the capital cost of the disposal required for
each flow condition in each selected area.
