spend small amounts of moncy to get a sec-
ond opinion on cost estimales.

other facilities.

Volunteers would raise $500,000 and the
city and regional district would borrow the
remaining $7.0 million over 20 years.

Based on that level of borrowing, a house
in Terrace assessed at $130,000 would have
an extra $50 added to each year’s property
taxes. A business assessed at around
$500,000 would pay $700 extra on each
year’s taxes,

Gordon Robinson, the electoral area C
director on .the regional district board,
warmed council again Friday that he does
not believe rural residents will support the
project. Many outlying residents are facing
large bills for necessities like water systems
and natural gas lines, he said.
