HALLSOR, _Clark-Administrator Regional District of Kitimat-Stikine Call for Expressions of Interest Solld Waste Management Services to Facilitate the 3R’s - Reduction, Reuse and Recycling The Regional District of Kitimat-Stikine |s in the process of implementing its Solid Waste Management Plan (the "Plan"), One of the overall objectives of the Plan is to reduce the quantities of solid waste going into landfills in the Regional District. This reduction would be accomplished through Reductlon and Reuse education, programs and incentives as well as through limited drop-off depot Recycling and Composting programs. While the Reduction and Reuse programs would apply to the entire Regional District, the Recycling and Composting programs would only be focused on Hazelton-Terrace-Kitimat corridor, in which the majority of Regional District's population resides, The Regional District is now calling for exprassions of interest from parties who wish to provide solid waste management services to facilitate the implementation of the 3R's programs. It is anticipated that such parties could include private Individuals, private companies, non-profit organizations, govern- . ment organizations and/or consortiums of these parties.
