The work includes maintaining a strict watch over the area and communicating by radio or other means to the District Fire Control Officer. The nature of the work involves living alone for extended periods of time at isolated locations. NOTE: The Lookout Person's lotis often a lonely one. The place of workis often inaccessible by conventional means of travel. Most of the time the P.M. radio is the only link to the outside world. It is entirely up to the individual to make the stay at the lookout a safe success. The person who can appreciate the advantages of lookout life will find this work a rewarding experience. Prerequisites: 1) A favorable written doctors report. 2) Eye examination, acuity é& colour vision 3) 16 years of age with a SIN #.
