THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF PORT COQUITLAM BYLAW NO. 2563 A Bylaw to provide for the payment of an indemnity to the Mayor and Aldermen of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam. WHEREAS under and by virtue of Section 267 of the "Municipal Act" being Chapter 290 of the Revised Statutes of British Columbia, 1979, the Council may by bylaw provide for paying out of the annual revenue an indemnity to the Mayor and Aldermen of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam, and may provide that a portion of the said indemnity to be paid to the Mayor and Aldermen shall be paid as an allowance for expenses incidental to the discharge of the duties of their respective offices: NOW THEREFORE the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam, in open meeting assembled, enacts as follows: i. During the period extending from the First Monday after the First day of December, 1990 to the First Monday after the First day of December, 1991 there shall be paid to the Mayor of the Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam an indemnity of $43,545.00 per annum of which said indemnity the sum $14,515.00 shall be paid as an allowance for expenses incidental to the discharge of the duties of his office. During the period extending from the First Monday after the First day of December, 1990 to the First Monday after the First day of December, 1991 there shall be paid to each of the Aldermen of the Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam an indemnity of $14,331.00 per annum of which said indemnity the sum $4,777.00 shall be paid as an allowance for expenses incidental to the discharge of the duties of his office. The indemnity provided for in Sections 1 and 2 hereof shall be paid by the City Treasurer in twelve equal monthly installments during the months of December, 1990 through November 1991, inclusive, to the person or persons entitled to receive the same without further order or resolution of the Council save and except as provided in Section 5 of this Bylaw.
