Janna Taylor, Parks & Recreation Director SUBJECT: Park ~ Chelsea Subdivision To start preliminary work on the park, $5,500 needs to be set aside to do a site plan and costing. A public information meeting will be held once the plan has been completed, That USL (Urban Systems Ltd.) be retained at a cost of $5,500 to develop a site plan and cost estimates for the park. Background of Proposal. Approximately seven acres of land has been set aside for a park in the area of the Cheisea subdivision. Attached is a map outlining the location of the park. Council has recently set aside $300,000 in a Parks Development fund. Analysis of Proposal Prior to going to a public information meeting it is necessary to develop a site plan with full cost estimates. The cost to do this is $5,500. A detailed legal survey is presently under way of the park. USL (Urban Systema Ltd.) is a firm of consulting planners and engineers. Presently they are doing a similar project for the Surrey Parks & Recreation Department. cool EMS yperen
