They woula be most effective if Dlaced in the middle of the road in advance of the crosswalks. Unlike the wooden child Silhouette cut-outs, these cones would bounce back if struck by a vehicle, If feasible, put some type of obstruction on the road ~Similar to the small raised bumps used to demarcate lanes on highways —~ that will raise the awareness of drivers approaching school zones.
