Alderman Gates suggested that the May Day Committee re-examine the
Miss Port Coquitlam contest plans and supply further information to
Council regarding costs, etc. in one week's time.

That the May Day Committee re-examine .the Miss Port Coquitlam
contest plans and supply further information to the Council regarding
costs, etc. in one week's time.
Defeated.
Aldermen Gates, Muldoon and Vater voted in favour of the
resolution.
Alderman Gates referred to the proposal for temporary Court facilities
and Alderman Wright advised the Parks & Recreation Committee will consider
the effect.

NEW BUSINESS:

Alderman Muldoon expressed concern regarding the limited bus service

and asked that a letter be sent to the Metro Transit Operating Company re Bus Service.
requesting an increase in the number of buses.

an increase in the number of buses on all routes.

Aldermen Laking and Mabbett advised that presently the Metro Transit
Operating Company have no buses to provide.
